Student Doctors Visit
The Bega Business Council in conjunction with the Bega Chamber of Commerce will host a dinner for approximately 37 student doctors from the Australian National University (ANU)School of Medicine on the 23rd August, 2005
The visit by the students is part of their Rural Placement Program – a Program that aims to encourage students to consider permanent placement in the rural areas on completion of their training. By participating in the Rural Placement Program in Bega during the week long visit, these second year students will experience first hand life in the country and the opportunities that exist here in Bega.
The Bega Business Council is delighted to be part of this worthwhile program and will sponsor the students at a dinner drawing on guests from a broad cross section of the Bega and district community. The dinner will take place at the Bega Golf Club, commencing at 5.30 for a 6.00pm start.
This is the type of Program that all the community can benefit from. It is hoped on going relationship between the Business Council and ANU will see further developments in the Bega community. Interested Chamber members are invited to attend the dinner – for more information phone Janet on 64920541.
