University of Wollongong Bega Valley Campus

UOW Bega Valley has developed a reputation as a cooperative learning environment with a high standard of academic excellence. We combine an intimate student-centred atmosphere with leading-edge technology that provides interactive access to other UOW campuses. UOW Bega Valley provides students with a supportive, student-centred environment, face-to-face teaching, and interactive digital access to UOW lectures. The campus is also a support hub for students studying online with UOW, offering academic and practical support during their studies. Courses available include Bachelor of Business Administration – a flexible degree offering a broad education across all key aspects of the business environment. In addition to studying the essential core disciplines of accounting, economics, finance, management and marketing, you can tailor your studies according to your interests or career aspirations by choosing electives from particular Business disciplines, or you can combine Business electives with subjects from other disciplines. Bachelor of Nursing – become a Registered Nurse and get the knowledge and skills necessary to provide high-quality patient care, as well as opportunities for clinical placements to gain hands-on experience. Bachelor of Arts – is a flexible degree that allows you to incorporate subjects from other study areas in the humanities, such as history, politics, philosophy, and legal studies. Learn critical thinking skills, or foster your creativity through music, digital media, visual arts, performance and theatre. Master of Teaching – in either Primary or Secondary Education allows those coming from other degrees or backgrounds to study to become a teacher. Master of Teaching (Primary) and Master of Teaching (Secondary) courses will qualify you to work as a teacher in primary schools (K–6) or high schools (Years 7–12) respectively. Both are 2-year graduate entry programs. Facilities available to UOW Bega Valley students and staff include: Computer laboratory – DELL computers with flat screen available including internet access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Free Wi-fi in all classrooms and common areas. VideoConferencing – A number of lectures are delivered from UOW Wollongong via live videoconferencing. Kitchenette – Fridge, toaster, tea & coffee making facilities. Library – in addition to the print and electronic resources available in the library, computers are available for library research. Photocopying facilities are also available.
