A great way to get involved
Bega Chamber of Commerce and Industry encourages participation from our members, and we welcome your involvement, you can help by joining these Teams which operate as sub-committees and report back to the Executive:
Events
The Events Team get together to plan meetings and events. We have regular networking events which are a mix of both social and informative meetings. These include a range of topics relevant to conducting business in Bega. We also stage other larger events such as the Customer Service awards and Christmas promotions along with many special events. The focus is to promote Bega as an attractive place to both business and leisure.
Economic development
This team is responsible for representing the interests of the business community at local, state, and federal levels by advocating for issues of importance to economic and business development in our region. We seek out projects and activities that have a positive influence on our local economy as well as engage with multiple stakeholders and interest groups to open up opportunities for mutual and community benefit.
Members support
We value our members and are looking at ways in which we can support them. The Members Team looks at promoting the chambers activities, engaging with, and supporting our member. Our aim is to also attract new members to grow our membership base. The Members Team meets regularly and is open to new ideas and participants.
Community engagement
The Bega Chamber believe that if we support the wider community then the business community benefits. To that end, we also engage with other organisations such as the University of Wollongong, SCAPA Markets, Bega Circularity, along with many social enterprises. The Community Team is looking for more participants and members are more than welcome.
