We’re pleased to share some positive news: the proposal to charge not-for-profits a fee for using public spaces has been rejected by Bega Valley Shire Council.

Earlier this year, hundreds of community members made submissions opposing the change.
Our very own John Watkin presented to councillors on the negative impact this would have on Chamber events and dozens of local organisations.

Thanks to your voices, the motion was not supported.
