Bega Chamber 2023 AGM

On Wednesday the 25th the Chamber held its Annual General Meeting. The meeting was at Bega TAFE, and we were hosted by the hospitality team. The TAFE is a great asset to the area and to experience the students testing their skills was a delight. Well done to the entire team.

Our annual meeting soon followed with reports given by Emma Keft on the events of the last twelve months and the plans for the rest of the year. Kirsty Towill gave an update on the membership team and presented two of our gold members, Specsavers, and Telstra with their framed certificates.

Rachel Paterson our local connector presented details about the Welcome Experience program and John Stylianou presented a report on the progress of the McKee Drive Business case.

We saw some great updates from Luke Dunn of Future Generation regarding the Snowy Hydro 2.0 project; as well as an informative panel discussion from winners of the Bega Valley Business Awards including Jane Edwards from 2EC & Power FM, Tom Marshman from Big W Bega and Tara Chiu from Daisy Hill Photography.

Undoubtedly it has been a big year for the chamber with much more to come. You can read the full reports on our website at www.begachamber.com.au

A special note of thanks went out to Emma Keft for her enormous effort with communication and media and her work on the events committee. Also, to Kirsty Towill for her efforts on the events committee and leading the members team and John Stylianou in driving the McKee Drive project.
